【Alexion Japan】Associate director, Market Access & Healthcare Policy

This is what you will do:

The Associate Director, Market Access & Healthcare Policy in Japan is responsible for execute pricing strategies to support the launch and reimbursement of products across Alexion’s drugs in the Alexion Japan. Through key leadership and partnership across cross-functional teams, the person maps out pricing strategy into broader disease area. The Associate Director will work effectively in close collaboration with the other members in Mkt Access & Healthcare Policy and other departments in Japan as well as global teams.

In addition, you have a possibility to expand your tasks for monitoring healthcare system and regulatory environment affecting Alexion's business and advancing Alexion's business priority in the policy area through building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with external stakeholders and resources.

You will be responsible for:

• Creating and delivering price assumption commercial and development decision

• Analyzing the impact of potential development & regulatory scenarios, and provide strategic input

• Leading to create NHI price negotiation strategy and NHI pricing dossier and execute the negotiation strategy

• Leading to mitigate of price cut throughout the lifecycle

• Driving cross-functional taskforce team to address critical reimbursement issues of a specific product

• Reporting to the Heal of Mkt Access & Healthcare Policy in Japan.

• Working effective in close collaboration with the other members in Mkt Access & Healthcare Policy and other departments in Japan as well as global teams.

• Working with industry association (EFPIA Japan, etc) to proiorize rare disease related policy, including pricing items.

You will need to have:

• Work experience in NHI pricing negotiations for at least two products

• Excellent project leader who can effectively manage multiple competing priorities to completion

• Experience managing internal resources and external contractors/vendors

• Global mindset and ability to work with cross functional teams

• Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change

• Excellent teamwork skill

• Fluency in English/Japanese writing and speaking communications

We would prefer for you to have:

• Understanding of the global market access landscape

• Experiences on new product, marketing, medical, regulatory are preferred.

• Maintains the relationship with external agencies and monitors their performance to ensure that performance and deliverables meet business expectations

• Cultivates and maintains relationships with key experts, influencers, and customer segments to foster and maintain Alexion’s credibility to support the value and reimbursement of Alexion products

• AI/SaMD knowledge (preferred)

• Knowledge of healthcare policy in general and experience of communication with government agencies. (preferred)

• Experience on the consulting firm to create strategy, solve problems（Preferred）

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MPH, MPP)

主な職務内容：日本のマーケットアクセス＆ヘルスケアポリシー担当アソシエイトディレクターは、アレクシオン・ジャパンの製品の上市および保険償還を支援するため、薬価戦略を策定・実行します。部門横断チームとの連携やリーダーシップを通じて、薬価戦略を疾患領域全体の戦略へと展開します。また、日本のマーケットアクセス＆ヘルスケアポリシー部門のメンバーや国内他部門、グローバルチームと緊密に連携し、効果的に業務を遂行します。

さらに、アレクシオンの事業に影響を与える医療制度および規制環境をモニタリングし、外部ステークホルダーや各種リソースとの関係構築・維持・活用を通じて、政策分野におけるアレクシオンの事業上の優先課題を推進する業務へ、担当範囲が拡大する可能性があります。

主な責任：•    商業上および開発上の意思決定に必要な薬価前提を策定し、提示する•    想定される開発・薬事シナリオの影響を分析し、戦略的な提言を行う•    薬価収載に向けた交渉戦略および薬価申請資料の作成を主導し、交渉戦略を実行する•    製品ライフサイクル全体を通じた薬価引き下げリスクの軽減を主導する•    特定製品の重要な保険償還課題に対応する部門横断タスクフォースを推進する•    日本のマーケットアクセス＆ヘルスケアポリシー部門長へ報告する•    日本のマーケットアクセス＆ヘルスケアポリシー部門のメンバー、国内他部門およびグローバルチームと緊密に連携し、効果的に業務を遂行する•    EFPIA Japanなどの業界団体と連携し、薬価関連事項を含む希少疾患政策の優先順位付けを行う

必須要件：•    少なくとも2製品における薬価交渉の実務経験•    複数の競合する優先事項を効果的に管理し、完遂できる優れたプロジェクトリーダーシップ•    社内リソースおよび外部委託先・ベンダーの管理経験•    グローバルな視点と、部門横断チームと協働する能力•    社内外の変化に対する柔軟性および適応力•    優れたチームワーク能力•    日本語および英語による、書面・口頭での流暢なコミュニケーション能力
